From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon

Chapter 234: Kingdom Of Leone [1]

Chapter 234: Kingdom Of Leone [1]

After Eliza says that we all get comfortable for the night. The bed doesn’t feel the same as the one did at the church which is nice.It takes a little while but I do finally manage to fall asleep properly for the first time in a while.

Morning arrives a lot quicker than I expect as sunlight shines through the window and I slowly open my eyes before glancing around the room.

Lilly is still asleep while Eliza is already sitting by the window.

"You’ve been awake for awhile haven’t you?" I ask.

"Couldn’t really sleep," Eliza answers quietly.

I don’t really blame her since everyone has had a lot on their minds lately. Plus we are back in a kingdom that she probably knows more than we do.

I’m sure that also brings back a lot of memories for her.

The room falls silent after that.

It isn’t an awkward silence, Just one where neither of us really know what to say right now.

I slowly get out of bed before stretching my arms.

At least today we finally have something to work towards. Finding this Alfie guy is the best distraction I think we have right now.

Hopefully he really is the lead we’ve been searching for. We need some sort of big break if we want to make some progress in this realm already.

A quiet knock reaches the door.

"Ghost?" A monotone voice calls out.

Ah. It sounds like Velia is knocking at the door already which is a sign that we are starting the day.

I walk over before opening it. But upon opening it I already can tell she is ready.

She already has her sword strapped to her waist while Aria stands beside her with a small smile.

"Looks like everyone is finally awake," Aria says.

"More or less," I reply.

"Think today is the day?" She asks.

If she means about us getting information, I don’t know for sure.

"We’ll find out soon enough," I respond.

Velia glances towards Eliza.

"Do you remember exactly where the tavern is?" Velia asks.

"I do. It hasn’t moved since I was last here," Eliza answers confidently.

"Good. Then let’s not waste any more time," Velia replies.

I take one last look around the room before following behind them.

The hallways of the inn are already busy with demons heading downstairs to start their own day.

Some are merchants.

Others appear to be adventurers judging by the weapons hanging from their belts.

Nobody pays any attention to us which is fine by me. I’d rather keep it that way.

The moment we step outside, Leone feels completely different compared to yesterday since the streets are packed.

Merchants shout from every direction while people move between stalls carrying all sorts of goods.

The kingdom really comes alive more during the morning it seems. Not really something you expect after your first initial introduction to the place.

"So can you lead the way Eliza?" Aria asks.

Aria looks towards Eliza and she smiles faintly.

"I’ll do my best," Eliza responds while beginning to walk.

Honestly we walk for quite a good while until finally we stand outside of the Iron Hawks Tavern. Lots of people seem to be going in and out of it as well.

I look it up and down for a moment to see if I spot anything interesting but it doesn’t appear to be out of the ordinary by any means.

"What does this Alfie guy look like Eliza?" Aria asks with curiosity.

"Probably wearing a brown leather jacket, black pants, he has short curly black hair, red eyes, and he is pretty tall. That’s the best way I’d describe him," Eliza finishes describing.

Honestly that sounds like something a lot of "cool" adventurers would wear or something. It doesn’t really make it easy, unless people don’t really dress like that in the realm.

Regardless, this is something for us to work with. I can’t complain when it is better than nothing.

I push open the doors to the tavern as the group follows behind me this time. It is absolutely packed with demons all over the room.

All of them spilling different stories while eating and drinking together.

Some look our way for a moment but then they go back to their conversations like nothing ever happened.

"At least we don’t have to worry too much about them watching us," Velia says quietly.

"For now. Keep Lilly close," I suggest with a serious tone.

"Chug! Chug! Chug!" Some of the demons begin to shout.

Eventually I make my way to the front counter where a man stands behind pouring some beer into a mug.

"What can I get you young lady?" He asks with a big smile across his face.

"I just need to know if a man named Alfie is here," I respond, disregarding his question.

"Hahaha. Good ole Alfie. He was here hours ago so you missed him," He says after giving a hearty laugh.

"Damnit," I reply without thinking.

"Don’t worry though. Alfie always comes back at night too," He says before heading down to another customer.

So we’ll have to come back later on to meet this Alfie guy... Or we just have to sit around here till then. I don’t really know what the best call is to make here.

I turn around to see Velia right next to me... Which means she already heard the whole conversation.

"Seems like we’ll be spending the day here," Velia says with disappointment in her voice.

"I guess so," I reply.

"Let’s go find a table," Velia says while walking away.

I follow behind her until we finally find a free table that will fit the whole group without a problem. We put Lilly the closest to the wall so that she isn’t as noticeable as the rest of us.

"So we are playing a waiting game?" Aria asks while leaning on the table.

"Yes," Velia answers before I can.

"At least this gives us an opportunity to see what it is like here," Aria says positively.
