The old general and the 10 majors were astonished to sense the overwhelming amount of magic power gushing out of his body. They imagined what it would be like had the energy condensed on their bodies, pressuring them.

"Found you! What a brave general infiltrating the capital city directly."

They all snapped out of their thoughts, hearing the mage muttering the words to himself, and disappeared from the place, leaving confused and shocked soldiers behind.

"What just happened?" They all looked at each other in shock until the general pointed out what he heard in shock. "Did he just say he found a demon general in the royal capital?"

"What should we do, general?" Snapping out of their thoughts, they all looked ready to enter the battle at any time.

"Nothing, we do nothing." He ordered after thinking for a while. "Send news to the king about what happened here and ask him to assist the mage, and we will be clearing the battlefield just in case something unexpected happens." All of them saluted in unison and walked out of the room without any objections.

'Something does not fit here.' The old man muttered, looking outside the camp after taking a seat on his chair, deep in his thoughts.

In an empty room filled with all kinds of questionable products and clothes, an extremely beautiful woman sat on top of a man lying on the bed, both of them not wearing anything. The woman leaned forward, causing her silky black hair to fall to the side, and kissed the middle-aged man.

Through their kiss, she sucked on the man's tongue, and a deep white mist started to get sucked out from the depths of the man's stomach and made its way toward the woman's mouth.

"What a delicious life essence." She muttered, moving back after swallowing the cold essence in her body. She watched the man lying on the bed age rapidly and turn into a dried-out old man, like a dead old tree.

Suddenly, two bat-like wings sprang out of her lower waist as she looked at the corpse of the dead guy with a sadistic look in her eyes.

"Who is idiotic enough to waste their time in the sham of a war?" She licked her lips while moving her hands all around her hourglass body. "When I can increase my power sucking these powerful men—"

Seated on the throne was what one could describe as a charcoal-skinned, two-hinged-legged being, who was wearing loose robes and had his face covered in a white cloth.

On the white cloth, there was a blazing sun that caught the mage's attention. He felt a weird energy coming off from the cloth and affecting his mind. Following his instincts, he looked away from the cloth before the energy could reach him.

"Perceptive, aren't you?" The husky voice had a hint of amusement in it.

"Aren't you afraid of death?" The mage asked without looking up. "Or do you think I cannot kill you by myself?"

"Oh, of course, you have the power to kill me. My demonic eyes are showing me how much of a monster you are, Transcendent mage, or should I call you an archmage," he chuckled and replied as if his death was no big deal. "I have served the purpose of our lord, and now it does not matter if I die or not."

Suddenly, three figures walked out from the depths of the shadows.

One of them was a huge, burly minotaur with an axe, and the other two were twin Oni brothers wearing matching black and white suits. The white one held a mage wand, and the black one held a sword.

Each one of them, just like the succubus, was at Tier 8 (Master), and the Demon King himself was at Tier 9 Grandmaster.

"What do you mean by all of that?" Ignoring the insignificant demons, he looked at the demon king, feeling a bad premonition arising in his heart.

The four demons raised their weapons, ready to attack at any time.

"Do you think that calling you here alone was all a coincidence? We needed you away from that place."

"Who is 'we'? What are you going to do in the elven continent?" The mage almost scowled; his words were filled with the same sense of urgency that shrouded his mind.

"We are not going to do anything in the elven continent. We have already done what we wanted to do years ago. Now it's just us putting on a show for the world to watch." The Demon King walked up from his throne. Hearing his words, an image flashed through the mage's mind, and the Demon King's next words confirmed his guess.

"Even the elves do not know that their king is the follower of your lord, and he had already set our plan in action, just putting on a show for the world to watch the tree they pray being consumed by evil—"

A huge aura gushed out of the mage's body, destroying the mask he was wearing. The whole castle trembled under his might; even the seals on the castle could not withstand the pressure coming from his body.

As the three generals of the Demon King fell to their knees, unable to withstand the pressure, the mage walked forward toward the trembling Demon King and spoke in a chilling tone. His eyes blazed with an ethereal aura as they looked unfazed at the man in front of him.
