Chapter 345 Elysia's Pain!
Chapter 345 Elysia's Pain!
*Woosh!*
Elysia reappeared in the garden behind Noah, who was seated in a lotus position, meditating with his eyes closed.
As if sensing her arrival, Noah opened his eyes. He waited as she walked to his side before asking, "To think you would look after her even after thrashing her like that all the way here."
"I was looking after Xin Yan..." Hearing Noah's teasing words, Elysia rolled her eyes. "But I know you already know about that."
She walked forward, moving ahead of Noah, looking at the moonlight shimmering on the mountain. Noah kept looking at her back as she stood with her hands behind her back and her light green hair moving with the wind.
Tucking her moving hair behind her head, she turned her upper body around, looking at Noah. She failed to notice his mesmerized look as he hid it pretty well with his stoic look. Instead, she simply smiled warmly before saying, "This night reminds me of another night."
"Which night?" Noah asked with genuine curiosity in his voice. He tried to recall all the peaceful nights they had been together till now, wondering which one she was talking about.
"The night you massacred the Soaring Heaven Sect." She replied with a sweet smile, which caused Noah's brain to stop functioning.
For a few seconds, he tried to think if he had heard it correctly.
"Pfft!" But when he realized that she was indeed talking about the day when he murdered hundreds of people in cold blood, Noah could not stop from wheezing. "HAHA!!"
Noah could not control his laugh, seeing the innocent expression on the woman's face, wondering if she had said anything wrong. Wiping the tear from the corner of his eyes, he continued, "To think you would choose the most bloody night to compare with this gentle one."
"To me, it was the night I saw your heart laying bare in front of me." Elysia did not take her words to heart and even smiled while explaining what she felt that day.
There were so many things that happened in his life and yet he could summarize everything that happened before he met Evelyn in one sitting.
"Although I sneaked in to get a sample of her nectar, that was the first time I met her and got ambushed by a whole race." When he started talking about Evelyn, Elysia could see a special charm in his eyes, a gleam that she had never seen before.
Although she heard some things about Evelyn from Noah, it was nothing in detail.
Even though she did not want to let those things get to her, it stabbed her heart to see Noah showing those emotions for someone else.
'I wonder if he would ever look at me like that? Should I just trap him in a place and never let him leave until he falls in love with me.' One after another dark thoughts started to cloud Elysia's mind.
"What happened?" Hearing Noah's words, she snapped out of her daze and saw him looking at her with a worried look on his face.
"Nothing, why?" Shaking her head, she tried to shake the question off, but Noah pointed at something.
Following his finger, she saw that her hands were clenched with the grass around her inside of them.
She had uprooted a lot of grass in the middle of her thoughts.
"I am sorry about that, please continue." Taking a deep breath, she released every bit of her frustration and asked Noah to continue.
Noah would have refused, but seeing the serious look in her eyes, he nodded and continued, "In the start, everything was great. We talked with each other every day, but things changed soon..."
Without them even realizing it, the night had come to pass as they sat there in the garden, talking about Noah's life.
