Chapter 383 Disappear!
Chapter 383 Disappear!
"Huff! Huff... Huff!" Covered in blood, Ruo'er gasped for breath. 'How long has it been? Ten minutes? Half an hour? I wonder if he was able to recover.'
Several thoughts flashed through Ruo'er's mind as she looked at the sword in her hand. There were several injuries on her body, but none of them were fatal. But there was another problem...
She was running low on her qi!
She raised her sword and pointed it at the three guards in front of her. They were unharmed, and their qi had only slightly depleted.
Another four guards were lying on the ground. Their lifeless gaze fixed in the direction their heads were turned. These four were the weakest of the group, so Ruo'er targeted them first.
"Take her down, she is out of qi. We need to keep her here until the captain returns." The guard with the highest cultivation gave instructions to the rest. The other guards also followed his words and rushed at Ruo'er.
*Shaa!*
Not giving up, Ruo'er swung the sword in her hand with all the energy that was left in her body.
"Looks like you are finally out of juice." One of the guards licked his lips, easily dodging the attack coming in his direction. "See this, you are no longer our match! Just surrender!"
Ruo'er bit her lips but refused to back down. Taking a step back, she slashed again, but her swings were getting slower than before. Seeing this, the same man lunged forward with his hands forming a claw.
*Slash!*
Seeing the hand that was about to touch her, a wave of disgust filled Ruo'er's heart. Long Tian's face flashed through her eyes before she twisted the sword in her hand.
"Argh!" Ignoring the pain her body was in, she slashed down the hand, chopping it off from the enemy's arm. The man backed away screaming in pain. The rest of the guards did not even seem bothered by her attack and kept moving forward at her.
Noah moved his head from Ruo'er's injured body to the people who were struggling to get out of his control.
"Disappear!" Walking ahead of Ruo'er, he uttered coldly. A wave of qi smashed against their bodies, crushing them into meat paste in the middle of the air and painting the rocks red with their blood.
Ruo'er watched with her mouth agape. The absurd difference in power between their levels became clear to her. Seeing Noah turning back toward her, she flinched before pausing.
Before she could even realize it, Noah's hand was placed on her head. She felt a warm current of energy flowing through her body, healing all of her wounds. The blood from her body started to disappear, and her dress started to mend itself.
Ruo'er did not even realize that she was not repulsed by Noah touching her head because she was too engrossed with the feeling of getting healed. She only realized it when Noah took his hand back.
She looked at his hand for a while before looking away, 'it felt like grandfather's hand.'
"Are you okay?" Noah asked after confirming that all of her injuries were healed. Ruo'er was stunned hearing the question. 'How can you ask that question when the one who got hurt the most was you.'
She nodded unconsciously in return, "What about you?"
" I am healed! There are no physical wounds on my body." Noah shook his head seeing the concerned look in her eyes and turned around to leave. Ruo'er wanted to ask more but...
*Boom!*
Sounds of battle from the lower floors interrupted her thoughts. They both walked to the edge of the wall and looked.
They saw all the guards on the lowest floor rushing into one of the corners of the volcano. There seemed to be some kind of passageway to the lower floors.
"Let's follow them!" Noah jumped down directly from the place he stood. Ruo'er did not even know how he managed to bring her down along with him without her even realizing.
