Chapter 295: [After the War(III)]
[Vladmir's POV!]
.
It's been 2 days since the war. Most of the angels have already returned, while the demons still stayed till today. Though, it seems like they too have started packing up.
A couple of the higher demons asked me if I was going to return or stay here, to which I gave a vague answer since I haven't really decided that yet. There were still matters that needed to be addressed before I could decide anything further.
As for the last 2 days, they had been rather monotonous. Sof for now, I decided to go for a brief walk to pass the time. It was going to be a simple observation from the side but...
"Excuse me, Sir Vlad! Can you help me out with this? It's a bit... too heavy," a bulky man spoke as he was pulling a caged beast all by himself, his entire body sweating as he was breathing heavily.
I had three questions when I saw him.
Why are you carrying an Ape beast? Why are you carrying it by yourself? And why it doesn't have a control collar on it?
But then again, it wasn't my buisness as I simply nodded before moving towards him and then picking the rope of that cage and then asking," the beast guild?"
"Please," the man answered as he gather a bit of energy for speaking.
Looking at how the beast guild was just about 50 meters ahead, I didn't mind doing that. Simply holding the rope tighter with one hand, I began walking towards the guild while non-chalantly pulling the cage.
'Hmm? It's lighter than I thought,' I felt the mass was a bit lesser than what it should have been. Perhaps the beast isn't eating well? Hmmm. Could be...
"Sir Vladmir!"
"It's Vladmir!"
"Sir Vladmir!"
"It's our hero!"
"Isn't he so handsome?"
"Isn't he a vampire?"

"How should I pass the day?"
I mumbled, before a certain figure entered at the periphery of my gaze. A white haired girl wearing a black witch like dress. Her greenish Aura, she looked the same as I once saw her decades ago.
My pupil constricted, as I my heartbeat grew a little. And then moving towards her as I took out my steel dagger, I hastened my steps. Currently she was absentmindedly walking towards an apple shop, her eyes focused on those apples.
"Luciana," I spoke out, my eyes still focused on her. And she slowly turned to me, her eyes still lacking emotions in them, they focused on me. Yet, somehow they were sad...
Why are you making that sad expression, you bitch?!
One step at a time, I moved closer to her. Her eyes confused a little as she asked,
"Is there... anything you need from me?"
She looked at me, but her green eyes seemed rather absentminded. Her limping legs was now supported by an aid, most probably at the Neptune's Clinic, and her powers were... minimisal for some reason.
Why wasn't she healing herself? Why is she doing this?
I could kill her with a single slash. I could achieve my revenge right here and right now.
But...
"Do you know when sir Neptune is returning?" I asked, pushing those thoughts at the back of my mind. If what sir Neptune said was true then... man... Why does it have to be this way? Fucking hell...
"Ah!" Her eyes glistened as she blushed a little.
Huh?
"I. Apologise. I don't know when sir... Neptune will return," I saw her blush ever present before she took a polite pardon and then hastily left from there towards the apple shop.
While I just stood there, my mind was confused at what I just witnessed. Was that really the same cold Luciana?
"In the name of the Vampire Queen, Primula... What the fuck just happened?"
