The puppets couldn't find a single thing after entering the building.

The building itself wasn't that big in the first place, so it didn't take long for the puppets to explore it.

After exploring it, the only thing that they found was that it was completely empty.

They weren't able to find a single thing in this place, it seemed like it was a place that had been completely abandoned by whoever built it.

Though while they were exploring, they could feel that the death energy concentrated inside of this building seemed to be getting stronger as time passed. It seemed that the death energy that Lin Fan removed previously was coming back.

So while the puppets were still exploring the building, Lin Fan punched in front of him several times again.

That created the same suction force as before that drained some of the death energy from this building which allowed them to keep exploring.

Only that didn't really matter since there wasn't a single thing that was inside of this building.

It was completely abandoned from head to toe.

Even the lack of any markings on the building itself prevented Lin Fan from figuring out just what kind of building this was in the first place.

It was a very simple building that was made of stone and nothing else.

The only thing that seemed strange about it was the style of the building.

It wasn't the same Eastern Style as the rest of this cultivation world, it was a Western Style temple based on the overall shape of the building.

But that really wasn't enough information for Lin Fan to come to any conclusion.

After scouting out the entire place, Lin Fan took a deep breath and came to a decision.

He stepped forward, planning to head into the building.

Though he did take it step by step since he had no idea just what was waiting for him inside of this building.

As he came closer, Lin Fan could feel the death energy around him getting stronger.

It wasn't as strong as it was before, but it felt like he was approaching the source of this death energy with each step that he took. That was enough to tell him that there was still something that was inside that was releasing this death energy.

Taking one more deep breath, Lin Fan walked through the entrance of the building and stepped in.

The moment that he did...

"Welcome traveler to my temple."

After a moment of silence, the voice said, "Alright, I have to admit that you're not bad for your age. If it was in my era, you would have still been considered a genius, though you couldn't have been considered a freak."

Lin Fan didn't know whether he should be insulted or flattered by this, so he didn't say anything as he waited for the voice to get to the point.

"Fine, I'll tell you what this place is, but I hope that you'll remember to help me when the time comes." The voice said with what seemed to be a trace of unwillingness.

It was almost as if Lin Fan was the last person that the voice wanted to choose or something.

Lin Fan's lips couldn't help twitching when he heard this, but he still didn't say anything as he waited for the voice to continue speaking.

The voice didn't say anything as they continued sulking for a bit, but then they eventually spoke.

"This place is a graveyard as you can already tell."

"Huh?" Lin Fan couldn't help revealing a surprised look when he heard this.

He had thought that this place was some kind of hidden treasure land with the way that death energy filled it. He never thought that it would actually be some kind of graveyard.

The voice took note of this, but not in a positive way, "Really? You didn't even know that this place was a graveyard? Did you really stumble your way into this place? Is this really the person that I have to trust with my future?"

Lin Fan's lips twitched once more when he heard this.

The voice kept complaining for a bit before it continued with a sigh, "Anyway, this place is a graveyard for those that once fought a great battle on these lands. I won't bore you with what kind of battle it was since it's ancient history, but you just need to know that our corpses were buried in temples in this place."

There was a part of Lin Fan that wanted to ask about this, but he held himself back.

That was because there was more important information from this.

The voice said that they were buried in the temples in this place, those were the various buildings that he saw when he came down from above. They were temples that were just like the one that he was currently in.

But if that was the case, that didn't mean that the owner of this voice was a good person.

The voice continued by saying, "In the past, there were several ancient factions that came together in this place. There was a large battle between the different factions over a certain immortal artifact, but all of those different factions fell in the end because of that immortal artifact. It turned out that the immortal artifact was one of life and death that stole the life force from us. It forced us to create these temples to store our bodies and find someone that could help us come back to life again. That is where you come in."

While Lin Fan didn't know if the voice was lying or not, he could tell that the last part was true at the very least.

The owner of the voice was trapped here and they needed help to escape this place.
