Chapter 996 Setting things up

There was only silence that hung in the air while they waited from their hiding spot for the outer sect disciples of the Kunlun Sect to appear.

Though the longer that they waited, the more that Ye Qing Huan started to worry again.

After all, they weren't certain that this was the right place.

If this wasn't the right place and if the other side was waiting for them in a different place, it would only be a matter of time before the other side realized that they weren't who they said they were.

Once they realized that their spies had been caught, there was no doubt that they would try to clean up all traces of evidence that they were involved in this matter. That meant that they would release the embryo that they had hidden under the capital to do as much damage as it could while they ran away.

The moment that she did, Lin Fan turned to look at her instead of looking in the same direction.

It wasn't that she didn't trust Lin Fan that she said this, it was just that she was sincerely worried about him.

With a snort, Lin Fan said, "You can say that, but you know what the truth is." Then in a more serious voice, he said, "If you want me to go along with your plan, you better play by my terms or else."

The expressions of the Kunlun Sect group turned ugly when they heard this.

Though it looked like they wanted to reject what Lin Fan said, the truth of the matter was that they really couldn't.
