Chapter 241: Dominance (3)
Chapter 241: Dominance (3)
[Mireksan Mountain: Outside Of The Sunlit King's Boss Room]
The situation of total understanding bewildered the demonic monsters.
Demonic energy
The energy that corrupts and changes those who interact with and consume it.
Its power lies beyond understanding, but the key to how demonic energy works is this: if one can contain its exposure within their inner being, it'll make them stronger. Demonic energy consumes mana and converts it into its energy.
Of course, there are exceptions.
Because the being that had recovered and erased that slash has yet to change.
"It's disgusting how you creatures are made."
Rel took a step forward, holding Axel outwards to his right side.
"I've made my mistakes, but this one might be the worst."
CRACK...CRACK...CRACK!!!
With the colour of Rel's blade turning to an obsidian black, his aura sparked and a gust of wind flew around with lightning.
"...!"
Vester, the Serpent Demon, and Balwark, the Demonic Bull, were surprised to see him completely neutralize the demonic energy. There was no trace of it leaking out of him.
"Mumu... that person neutralized the demonic energy with ease..."
"Keke... he's a threat to the boss's plans!"
"So you must know what that means... mumu..."
"We have to kill him, of course!... keke..."
"Let's use what the boss taught us."
Balwark and Vester stood side by side, their hands forming a series of connecting signs.
"Elemental Zone..."
The words they muttered sent a chill down Rel's spine. What came next was something completely unheard of to him.
"Demonic Creed of the Serpent Horn!"
Within the narrow hallway, a dark veil shrouded everything within a 50-meter radius.
Rel was trapped within the elemental zone.
***
I was at a loss when I realised what I had been seeing in front of me was real.
The area around the pillars was flooded with a massive wave of blood and body parts, forming monstrous shapes from what they had used against their human victims.
I couldn't count how many bodies were in this horrifying tide, but I knew the number was well over a thousand.
"Real or not real... I couldn't care less if these guys existed. All I want now..."
I took a deep breath and waited for the perfect moment.
"...is to see these two monsters dead."
***
Standing below the enormous wave surging with demonic energy, Rel braced himself as it crashed down upon him with a massive splash.
Vester and Balwark had expected their elemental zone to easily eliminate the problem, but they couldn't comprehend the sight before them. Rel, masked and untouched, stood unharmed, the human body parts floating around him without making contact.
"Balwark... are you seeing this?!"
"Mumu... the body parts are floating..."
Rel scratched the back of his head, adjusting his mask.
"Disgusting..." he muttered.
He took a few steps towards them, and with his right hand outstretched, a gust of wind erupted, a small wave splashing against the demonic monsters' ankles.
Both felt a strange sensation, as if something familiar urged them to surrender.
"Keep your eyes on him, Vester... he's one of them," Balwark warned.
Vester nodded slowly, his head reverting to its serpentine form. Balwark did the same, but as they maintained eye contact with Rel across the distance, the unsettling feeling persisted.
BLINK!
In the span of a heartbeat, both demonic monsters froze, 50 meters away from Rel.
The true monster had appeared before them.
They had just been discussing taking him seriously, but Rel had no time for games. His arms transformed...
CRACKLE...CRACKLE...CRACKLE...
Darkness devoured his arms, replaced by crackling black lightning that burst from his skin.
Rel charged through the two monsters, his biceps connecting with their necks in a devastating blow.
"...!"
