Chapter 430: Wuhan’s Trust
Chapter 430: Wuhan’s Trust
"I made a list of events you can organize throughout a whole week." As soon as Noah walked into the room, he saw Wuhan talking with Shisan about something.
They stopped talking when they heard his words. Shisan frowned, seemingly unamused by his childish behavior.
"Were you discussing anything important?" Seeing the frown on Shisan’s face, Noah asked Wuhan.
"She was just telling me about the progress of my disciples’ training." Wuhan waved his hands and asked, "What did you come up with?"
"I have decided to separate each event for different days. Starting with a test for scholars, we can move on to Alchemy, Weapon refining, Talisman making, and then three days for combat rankings. We can rank geniuses in each field and give them rewards that are suitable for their respective fields." Noah gave a simple explanation of the plans he had set for the event.
Wuhan nodded in acknowledgment, finding the planning feasible but the problem was retaining those geniuses after giving them rewards.
After seeing through Wuhan’s thoughts, Noah added, "If you want them to join you, you have to show what the empire is capable of offering them."
After thinking for a while, Wuhan nodded in agreement.
"Explain everything to me in detail." Hearing Wuhan’s confirmation, Noah explained each event in detail. His explanation included everything from seating and test arrangements to awarding the winners.
Not just Wuhan, even Shisan was impressed by his thoroughness. After Noah stopped talking, Wuhan sighed in relief, "That’s a load off my shoulders."
"There is still something you have to decide." Noah casually walked towards the Elder’s chair and took a seat. Seeing the hint of confusion in Wuhan’s eyes, he clarified, "What do you want to do with those people I saved?"
"Can’t we take them into the sect?" Seeing Wuhan entering deep in thought, Shisan asked, thinking they would be grateful to the sect for saving them.
"They will think that we were the ones that kidnapped them." Wuhan rejected that idea on the spot.
But this...
It was on a whole different level. It was like Wuhan loathed the Song family.
Seeing her tremble in her seat, Wuhan sighed before calming himself. Clenching the armrest of his seat, he replied, "You should know better than anyone, telling that family about her situation would only lead to more trouble, and they might use this chance to do anything they want with her."
"Especially now that she can cultivate." Shisan shook hearing Wuhan’s words and this time for a different reason. She knew better than anyone what kind of people from the Song Family were.
"You seem to know a lot about her family." Shisan narrowed her eyes, finding it suspicious. Wuhan smiled wryly and shook his head, "I have had a fair share of encounters with that family."
Finding no falsehood in his words, Shisan decided to let it go for now and stood up from her seat to leave the room.
"If..." Shisan stopped in her tracks, hearing Wuhan’s voice, and looked over her shoulder. "If there is anyone in this world who can cure her, it’s that man."
"You mean Long—Noah?" As if she had enlightenment, Shisan could not help but ask in shock. "Why do you trust that man so much? Although he is stronger than me, I don’t think he is anything special."
"Haha!" Wuhan suddenly started laughing, hearing her words, and muttered, "Nothing special" as if he had heard a joke.
"What?" Shisan frowned, seeing him acting oddly, and turned around to face him fully.
"If that’s what you really think, you could not be any more wrong." Her frown deepened, hearing Wuhan’s reply. So she decided to ask the same question back to him. "What do you think of that man?"
"Hmm... let me see... I feel like, if he wants to, he can conquer the world at any time." Wuhan leaned his head on his hand and replied in an amused voice, recalling the scene where Noah created his body and the vision of the dragon.
"Scoff! Don’t be such a delusional old man!" The veiled beauty scoffed and turned around to walk out of the room, leaving her words in the air. "Ruling the world? How foolish..."
Wuhan chuckled once more, looked outside the broken wall of the main hall, and muttered, "Foolish, huh... Maybe that’s what he would think about conquering the world."
